a. Lesson
Activity:
1. Students
will individually make predictions about the story of The Very Hungry
Caterpillar based on the front cover, background knowledge, and the title.
2. Students
will then individually brainstorm a list of questions based on the predictions
they made.
b. Assessment:
As students are brainstorming, I will go around the classroom and stamp for
completion.

ESE and ESOL Strategies/Accommodations:
For ESOL and ESE students, I will allow more time to work on their lists. If
appropriate, this activity could be done in groups.
